Pietro Carnaghi S.p.A. has obtained ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015 certifications for the design, manufacture, installation and after-sales service of vertical lathes, CNC vertical grinders, mobile gantry and moving table milling machines.
 

Company Policy

PIETRO CARNAGHI was founded in 1922 and it is today one of the main benchmarks in the international panorama of machine tool manufacturers, especially in the medium and large machine segment, thanks to the continuous and constant development of technologies and ideas, supported by more than 100 years of direct experience in the field.

Besides to individual machines, PIETRO CARNAGHI is able to offer complete turnkey production lines, including the development of the most sophisticated processing technologies, which contribute to solve all the customer's production problems.

Pietro Carnaghi Spa performs design, production, installation and after-sales service activities.

In September 2025, PIETRO CARNAGHI S.p.A. joined the FIVES Group, further strengthening the Group's leadership in the machine tool sector.

The corporate policy of PIETRO CARNAGHI S.p.A. is based on the following principles:

  • involve all company departments and stakeholders in understanding and meeting customer needs and in supporting the principles and objectives of this Policy, particularly regarding safety, environmental protection, social responsibility and the adoption of the Zero Defects philosophy;
  • develop prevention activities as a fundamental tool for eliminating non-compliance and reducing the overall costs of non-quality.
  • provide high-level training and education for all personnel.
  • formalise concrete and measurable goals, consistent with the Integrated Management System in the areas of quality, occupational safety, environment and social responsibility;
  • monitor the impact of activities on the environment, with particular reference to waste production and other emissions into the environment;
  • constantly raise awareness among its suppliers on quality, occupational safety, environment and social responsibility;
  • involve staff in accident prevention activities, in the analysis of near misses and in all aspects of safety at work;
  • maintain safe and healthy working conditions to prevent work-related injuries and illnesses, both during production and installation and after-sales activities
  • ensuring that company practices are adequate to respond to environmental and safety emergencies;
  • manage change by assessing business risks and opportunities in advance in all possible areas;
  • constantly assess and monitor risks in relation to the context and business activities;
  • ensuring the active maintenance of risk control and mitigation procedures and practices, with particular attention to cybersecurity and the protection of digital infrastructure;
  • pay constant attention to reducing emissions by continuously seeking solutions to reduce energy consumption, both in product design and in production processes;
  • ensure the efficient use of natural resources, minimising waste and promoting a circular economy in all company activities;
  • promoting a culture of respect and inclusion, fostering personal and professional growth, well-being and safety for all people.

 

All employees are required to make every effort to understand and implement this Policy.

Management undertakes to periodically review the contents of its Policy in order to adapt it to technological and legislative developments and to environmental and health and safety aspects that have been identified, as well as to adapt it to the customer requests.
